Common Application Transfer Essay Questions

Hi.
I am a bit at a loss in terms of the Common Application. I am applying as a transfer to several different universities and I was wondering whether under the section 'Writing' where you have to submit the 'Personal Essay' (reasons for transferring etc) you have to write a generic essay or whether you tailor it to every college you are applying to?
I thought you would have to personalize it, otherwise you wouldn't be answering a "Why College X?" style of question anywhere in the application.
Basically, should I write a generic or a personalized essay?

Also, one other question in relation to SAT scores etc. My scores aren't great: SAT I CR 730 M 590 W 700 (composite 2020) and SAT II French 760 and Literature 750. There is an option for one of the colleges I am applying to saying whether I want the SAT scores to be taken into account when they make my admission decision. For this college my CR and W scores are within the median of accepted students but my M score is way below. What should I say?
How much do scores count for transfer students anyway?

Thanks! :)

BUMP.
Please someone help. Please!

You can submit it one at a time and write a fresh essay for each school.

Thanks, that's great to know.
Do you have any thoughts about the SAT conundrum too?

I really don't. I've never even taken the SAT, lol. None of the schools I am applying to it require it if you are transfer more than a certain number of credits.

Honestly, I think your grades and recs from your current institution probably matter the most. The SATs are suppose to predict future college success, or something like that. If you are already showing that you can succeed in college they probably won't be weighted very much. So either way is fine. Just my opinion.

Your scores will be more important if you're transferring as a soph than as a jr. And they are also likely to be more important if you are applying to very selective schools.
