<p>I heard that some counsellors advised their students to apply in colleges' own forms. It seems to contradict with what I heard from admission reps from colleges, i.e. which form do you use has no bearing on admission whatsoever. But a counsellor told me that actually, most colleges prefer their own forms, e.g. UPenn. So, is common application a hidden bane?</p>
