Common Application Will Allow Changes

Starting on October 19th, 2007, students using the Common Application will "again be able to create and submit alternate versions of their Common Application, in much the same way they did last year."

Yay!!!

sweet. but that link is just another blog. This better be for real

Is there really much benefit in creating “alternate” versions..?? It seems like a lot of extra work.. I always thought it was best just to send in the applications to the schools and forget about them for a while..

This is great news (if it’s really true).

There is definitely a need to have different version of your app for different school, especially EA vs. RD, i.e, rankings change, activities are updated, etc. Also, you may want to stress a particular activity for one school and another for a different school.

I hope it is true.
