Common Application

I have a question.

Do schools that use the Common Application and their own application view those that use the Common App with distaste? Does it come off as lazy? The only reason I am asking is because I don't want to have to ask my teachers to fill out 10 different recommendation forms; it would just be easier to have them fill out one and photocopy it. I am just making sure colleges won't discriminate against me as a result.

I've asked this question on many occasions; colleges have no preference over which app you use. Many common app schools only use the common app; they don't have their own app form.

As for reccomendation forms; my D's school uses their own form; the colleges my D applied to only received a photocopy of the original rec form. We've heard back from 6 schools; she hasn't been rejected yet.

Agreed. One of the conditions schools must agree to in order to use the Common App is to treat it equally to their own. If you want to demonstrate interest, then visit, set up an interview, send in supplemental material, etc. The application doesn't matter.
