<p>-- So... it's to help students in applying to college by providing an admission application that they can submit? I'm not sure I understand completely...</p>

<p>Rather than a student filling out a separate application for each college they apply to, they can fill out the Common Application and submit it to all of their schools. Many (maybe most?) colleges have supplements to the Common App, which include extra questions and essays.</p>
