<p>When there is no essay in the supplement of the college that you are applying to, does that mean that you do not need to write an essay for that college?</p>
<p>For every college using the common app, a personal statement (college essay) in the main application is required. Separate essays required for the specific college will be in the supplement. If the supplement does not ask you to write anything, the just fill it out and send it along with your main application.</p>
