I haven’t been able to meet with my advisor yet. Are there any neuroscience majors here, and do you have any recommendations for what classes I should think about after the introduction to neuroscience class?
Which ones are easier and which ones are interesting?
neurobiology of behavior with catania is the quintessential “easy” neuroscience class. It’s definitely not bad, and pretty interesting.
Cellular neurobiology is on the more difficult side, but you learn some awesome stuff. Take it with Terry Page, he’s the man. He’s retiring though so I don’t know what’s going on with that.
Visual system with Woodman is one of the best classes I’ve taken here and is pretty easy. (tests are kind of hard, but I think he just gives everyone a good grade). Woodman is also really funny.
If you’re going to be a senior, integrative neuro with Calkins is pretty great. Almost no work, and he’s a really engaging professor.
