<p>So I had submitted a common application for Case Western Reserve on November 1st.</p>
<p>Because I didn't really care enough for CWRU, i wrote a crappy essay.
I was going to write a really good one this week.</p>
<p>However, I went back and now everything is shaded in gray(?) and it seems like i'm not allowed to make any changes??</p>
<p>I have not even submitted the common app to other schools but i can't make any changes?</p>

<p>apparently you can’t change your essay once you submit your common app to one school.</p>
<p>might i ask: if you don’t care about this school, why apply so early?</p>
<p>You can create a second alternate version, don’t worry.</p>
<p>But I’m not positive what changes you can make, look it up on the search bar?</p>
<p>You’re fine. Just make an alternate version</p>
<p>Commonapp - Instructions - Application Versions -Replicate…you can do this 6 or 7 times. Be care not all info is replicated to new version.</p>
