So you can either submit your transfer application through Common App, with the Penn supplement, download everything and mail it in, or use the Apply Yourself Penn website.

My question is, if I choose to use the Apply Yourself website, does that mean I am not submitting that personal statement essay that you have in the writing samples section of the CommonApp? Because the only two essays they ask for on the Apply Yourself website is the Penn Academic one (what you want to major in, why you're transferring, why Penn, etc) and the choice of doing page 217 of your 300 page autobiography, recounting a first experience, etc. The same thing on the paper application. Also interestingly, the Common App Penn supplement "creativity and imagination" essay is optional, on the ApplyYourself website and on the paper application they are both required.

Is the Penn Academic essay just substituted for the personal statement on the Common App.
