Commonapp cut off short answer!

On both my extracurricular short answer as well as one of my supplements I was well within the character limit but in both cases left an enter to divide paragraphs. I checked the print preview and everything was there (spread over an extra page). Today, I checked the already submitted applications and saw that the extra page had gone missingand that I have lost the whole last paragraph of my short answer and the last 15 words of one of my supplement essays (for one of my top choices). Is there anything I can do about this now? Or should I just accept my fate?

Email the school describing the situation. Attach a copy of your complete essay.

Do you suggest writing to every school to explain the EC short answer? It was the most important paragraph in the essay.

When I search for the cut-off text in the print preview, it highlights the space where the words would be, had they not been covered by the next “Please write an essay of 250 – 500 words on a topic” part and turned white. It didn’t say anywhere on the commonapp that you couldn’t leave enters between paragraphs and I just thought I’d make it clearer for admission people.

The commonapp messes up many people’s essays. You should definitely write a nice email and attach the full essay, and send this to every school.
