CommonApp--EC elaboration--help me

<p>On the part of the Common App where they ask you to elaborate on one of your activities, as one of the writing samples, they ask for 150 words or fewer. Well, I wrote my piece and it's 100 words over the limit. However, I still have over 2,000 characters left over out of the 3500 that I am allowed.</p>

<p>So...is 100 words over too much for this? My response fits on the form. I really like it, too...I just don't want to change it.</p>

<p>Go by the word limit, not by the character limit.</p>

<p>The character limit is for formatting, spacing, etc.</p>
