I want to write my commonapp essay on moving, since I have moved many times over the past several years. However, I don't want to sound as if I'm explaining anything (my lack of leadership, for example) in writing about this subject directly. What is the best way for me to approach the topic?

@gadiii

im not an expert, but you can approach it by saying how moving so much helped you to become a different person and maybe strengthened you in some ways

this way, you make can indirectly refer to your lack of leadership while strengthening ur essay by making it personal

just an idea

maybe you can talk about how moving has forced you to adapt to different situations and thus made you a stronger/more flexible person. You could briefly describe the variety of living situations you’ve been in and then explain how this has influenced you.

essays on moving isnt the most unique topic, thousands of people move each year. IS there something special that you can focus on?

i ended up focusing on how the night is different in every single place i’ve lived in. anyone care to read it and edit?

sure gadiii ill be glad to help, PM me : )

Hey I’ll read it!
