<p>hey guys I need some advice regarding what common app essay I should pick. Firstly, I'm an international student so take that into account. I want to pick the option that talks about diversity in a college community and how I can bring diversity to a college community, because I'll be able to show how as an Int'l student I'm used to diversity and I can talk about its benefits and thus how I can bring diversity through past experiences (note: I would be talking about transition from a local school with hardly any diversity to two International schools with great diversity and show its impact on me and how it changed me etc.). In terms of academics, I'm fairly solid throughout junior year and the first semester of senior year. However, the second semester I kind of bombed it, so my teacher recommended me I write an essay about why my grades (as a significant event) went down and how it has impacted me. This will allow me to explain why my grades went down, which was due to private reasons I don't care to disclose but it was completely not due to my lack of academic ability. Which option would be better to write an essay on?</p>
