CommonApp -- Online Teacher Recs for Transfers?

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I got all my CommonApp Instructor Evaluation papers to my prof, but she asked me whether she could fill out the recommendations online. </p>

<p>Now, I know this option exists for regular admissions (the student sends an invitation to the CommonApp for the prof, the prof gets a code, logs in, fills form out and submits online), but I cannot to save my life find a way to send her an invitation from the Transfer CommonApp. I click on "School Forms" and all it gives me is pdfs. No fields to fill out professors' e-mails.</p>

<p>Is the online rec-filling way possible for transfers? How are you guys getting your Instructor Evaluations in?</p>

<p>For transfer applicants using the common application, instructor evaluations must be submitted through the mail.</p>

<p>Really? Why is that? Do you know for sure/have you contacted the CommonApp people? I guess I’ll do it this coming week just to verify…</p>

<p>So that’s settled. Too bad they didn’t explain why.</p>

<p>I e-mailed the 5 schools I am applying to ask about an electronic submission of a letter of rec, as the professor writing my letter is out of the country conducting research. </p>

<p>They all replied and said that they would accept e-mailed letters. Guessing you could do that as well…</p>

<p>I simply printed the forms, filled out my info, scanned the forms, and emailed them to my professors, also giving them the mailing address.</p>
