CommonApp Submitting...can I send selected collleges out of my list???

I have 12 schools on my CommonApp list.

They all have different deadlines...so can I submit the ones that have earlier deadlines first? and the others later?

And, I have two essays I can use. Can I use one essay for some colleges and the other essay for other colleges?

If so, how do I do this?

yes, yes, yes,

Once you send to college A, the file is then saved by CA online, and no further changes can be made to it. But, you can open it in read-only format and save it under another name, College B, make all the changes you want and submit to College B. For college C, just repeat.

but isnt there a submit button for all the apps? at the bottom right of the page

sorry, you are correct. Uncheck all but College A, submit, and College A is the only one to receive the report. Go back in and Save for College B, check College B, and so on...

From CA Online FAQ's...

No. Once you submit the application to a college, you can copy it and send it to other schools at a later time. You will not have to retype any information, as the application is stored in our database.

Yes. Once you submit your first application, you can log back into your application, copy and edit it, and submit it to a different college(s).

Good luck

sigh.. i screwed up on that, I sent the same thing to all colleges bec i didn't know that I could edit it after the first app. I hate bad instructions.
