Anyone have any insight on whether Princeton cares whether you use their application (and do 3 of their essays instead of 2) or the CommonApp with their supplement on the CommonApp website? It seems minute, and I'm sure they don't base their decision on it, but maybe someone out there asked an admissions officer or something.

Well from what I understand.. unless your a low-income kid you'd be better off doing THEIR app

The common app was designed specifically for low income kids (Read it on A is for Admissions)

Also, princeton prefers theirs simply because the common app doesnt provide enough detail and insight into the applicants character.

in the end its up to you.

Peace

lol..happy 100th post

truly, a joyous moment for us all...

Plus, the adcoms know where things are on their app. I can see doing Common App for your safeties because you don't want to deal with them, but do you want to be lazy for the Pton app? I don't think it's worth it.

Of course, they insist that it doesn't matter, and will swear that to the grave. But if you will be uneasy using the Common App for the above reasons, just apply with their app. You'll feel better.
