Thanks in advance. The last time I saw my transcript/gpa was at the end of junior year, am I supposed to report those for the grades section on the common app?

Also, for my school, 1st semester for my school is not finished till some time around mid jan. If I send transcripts now, will the grades from senior year 1st semester be calculated for gpa?

For the grades section on the common app, you mean the part that asks for class rank, gpa, etc right? They want the most up-to-date info for that so yea end of junior year would work. anyways, ur guidance counselor sends the initial transcript wiht ur application (it also has his/her rec, etc) and then they submit a mid year report with updated transcript, class rank, etc after ur first semester is over to common app which is sent to all your schools for common app… schools look at first semester grades alot so yea they will look at updated rank and gpa, transcript. no porbs man.

Yup, gpa/rank/etc is what I mean. But this part,
“schools look at first semester grades alot so yea they will look at updated rank and gpa, transcript”

Yeah thats not good, how bad will having a c or d in a class 1st sem senior year be? Also, to see if i’m understanding correctly, are gpa and rank recalculated after I submit the app once first sem is over?

Typically students send the end of third-year information. Some colleges will ask for a mid-year report in a few weeks, after first semester grades are in and your school has calculated new GPAs and ranks.

Having a C or D won’t look good. It’s essentially like having a C or D anywhere else on your transcript. Colleges don’t really care for “senioritis.”
