Communication at NYU!

I am accepted into the Steinhardt School to major in Communications and have been accepted into the Dept. of Culture & Communication in Steinhardt. Can anyone give me a sense of how good the Communications/PR program is at NYU + what it's like? How would you compare it to other well-known programs such as the Annenberg School of Communications at USC?

Also, is it difficult to switch out of this program (perhaps to College of Arts and Science) if I wanted to and feel like I don't like it?

Any info about studying communications at NYU would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

when u got your acceptance letter did it say that u were accepted into dept. of culute and communication? cause wen i got it said that that i was just accepted to steinhardt... i put communications as my major on the app tho..

I dont have the letter with me, but through reading the admittance package, I do believe that this particular program was mentioned in my acceptance. Unfortunatley, I dont remember where it was mentioned. Perhaps in the letter...

But i'm pretty sure that if you applied to a school like Steinhardt or Tisch, you will be admitted under the program that you applied for. They're not going to put you in Elementary Education or Music if you applied to the Communications program.
