So I'm basically set to go to WashU at this point, and I'm planning on double majoring in Psychology combined with something from art. The thing is that most of my art at this point has been in the traditional arts, so graphite, painting, etc. I also draw/paint digitally, but I don't have too much experience in pure graphic design.

However, I don't exactly want to major in painting, and I'm interested in the communication design major. Can anyone/any current or previous design majors give me a quick overview of their experience so far? In particular, what fields of employment you feel that this major angles you toward?
