I thought I had my mind set.... boy was I wrong :/

I'm not sure where to attend. I loved the chill atmosphere of Santa Barbara, but the party scene is not for me, although looking at the courses list for comm majors, I think I'll like the classes there a bit more. And with UCSD, theres the whole "socially dead" stereotype, but it's close to San Diego, which should have tons of internship opportunities.

I'm gonna be honest, this is not my dream school My dream schools is the University of Michigan, but there's no way possible that I'd get accepted or afford OOS tuition. But, which UC would give me the sort of college experience like Umich?

(I sort of went all over the place in this post, sorry :/ )

honestly, ucsb is probably better for communications, however, they’re both valid options.

I know ucsb has a strong communications program though having attended sbcc and taken pre comm courses for ucsb. it’s a very in depth comm program

I applied to Comm at those schools last year. It seems like the programs are about equal. I say choose based upon which school you like overall. I personally would go with UCSB!

I’m leaning towards UCSB… I dislike the fact that it’s far from a major city, but I think it’s what I’m looking for in a college. Still going to visit UCSD on transfer day, but so far SB seems like the best fit.

nujajbes29: There is some truth to all stereotypes. Just saying. & being socially dead isn’t a bad thing… it’s just not what I’m looking for, and this is coming from someone who is shy.
