Communication?

"The Department of Communication offers degree programs in the following areas of study: Communication and Culture; Journalism; Public Relations and Advertising; Radio, Television and Film; and Relational, Group and Organizational Communication. Students also have the option to minor in four of these five areas." From depaul.edu

Therefore to if I want to enter into Advertising and Public Relations I must major in Communications????? I'm Kunfuzed? I thought Advertising and P.R. was a marketing or at least a business discipline?

There's no "must." Communication equips you with some of the skills necessary for a career in PR, but a degree in Comm is by no means a prerequisite. As long as you have excellent communication and reasoning skills and can market yourself (not to mention others) effectively, you can attempt a career in PR.
