Communications after application is in...?

So. Other than the form emails saying "we have received your application...." etc., has anyone received communications from schools saying they are "just checking in", or "want to catch up with" the student?

I was just wondering and, if so, if there is any guidance on whether that means anything. I had thought that there would be total radio silence from all schools once the application deadline had passed ---- should we read anything into "chats" during that time period?

If anyone calls or emails with urgent questions about parts of the application, i.e. something is missing or unclear, you should answer them. Otherwise, I wouldn’t read anything into silence. The admissions offices are very busy in February.
