I am finding an interesting bit of information in the communication center as we wait for DS’s application to be reviewed and compare activity to DD’s. Does everyone get the “Private Schol(arship) Criteria Email” listed in the communications center? Some in the communication center must go to private emails and others are for messages in the tracker itself.
Actually what that meant is that your DS will get an e-mail (if he hasn’t already) inviting him to apply for private donor scholarships. My son got that last night and it took awhile to figure it out! Our theory was confirmed when he received the actual e-mail today.
^ Agree that some of the Com. Center messages go to e-mail. For instance, the EMPLID one is an e-mail and that signalled the UMN ID # was sent to the applicant via e-mail. Other messages do go to Tracker instead (such as admission decision and - hopefully! - Honors status. We’re still waiting on that latter one 
).
So is this normal thing everyone gets? Yes, she did get the email today too. Funny, we also found out she was accepted a week before we actually got into the tracker.
@CAmom01 - have no idea. Guessing yes, given the large number of various special interests and circumstances included on that private scholarship list! Hopefully others will weigh in with whether they received the same e-mail or Com. Center message.
My son also got that email for the scholarship list. The message is also in Com. Center which I had a heck of a time finding…
Yes, that center is a hard find! I normally wouldn’t watch so carefully, but with the issues we have had I am reviewing with the kids every step of the way. It is pretty hard for the other waiting, also knowing the wait could be many more months. I hope not, but two different colleges and m/f can make all the difference in notifications and acceptances.
@CAmom01 - your son might have a gender advantage at CBS. Currently, m is at 38% of total enrolled.
Oh ok - kid just got “Private Schol Criteria Email” in the comm center today. Interesting.
ETA - also, my kid got honors in the tracker but not in the comm center just in case anyone is watching for that.

Click the M in the upper left hand corner.
Then click “MyU: For students, faculty, and staff” in upper left
You can sign in using your tracker id/password
After you login, select “Key Links” and the “Student Center”
The Comm Center is on the far right of that page. You may need to scroll over or make your page bigger to select and open it."
