Hello,
I have been searching ALL over the web for a book that gives info on colleges with the best communication programs!
So far it hasn't been very successful please help!
Does anybody know any at the top of their head?
Thank you!

very unsuccessful hence the post…lol

Syracuse tends to top most lists, Northwestern, NYU.

Read this thread <a href=“What are the best colleges for communication? - College Search & Selection - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/212731-what-are-the-best-colleges-for-communication.html

Communications? That’s pretty broad. What career are you aiming for?

You’ll find Comm programs almost exclusively in large research universities. Here’s a link for the accredited programs: http://www2.ku.edu/~acejmc/STUDENT/PROGLIST.SHTML

As for the “best” programs, it depends. It depends a lot on what is best for you, so I’ll echo @dyiu13’s question: what do you want to do with Communications? Are your interests more academic (i.e. grad studies/research) or vocational (e.g. journalism)?

Some of the top communications schools are:
University of Florida – College of Journalism and Communications
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – School of Journalism and Mass Communication
Syracuse University – S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications

sticking with the broadness, USC’s Annenberg is pretty good and lately USC has had a lot of merit.

USCs 1/2 tuition scholarship winners had an average SAT score of about 2150. OP doesn’t have that

^^^how do you know that, @AnnieBeats?

@jkeil911 oh wait, wrong poster. A lot of students have been coming on here with journalism concerns and I mixed them up lol.

OP, here is the scholarship list and what they expect. http://www.usc.edu/admission/fa/private/docs/1112/uscScholarships1213.pdf

@AnnieBeats: been there, done that :))
