Good evening. I am curious as to the type of student that gets awarded the Community Service scholarship at Tulane University. D has already been accepted to Tulane and applied for both the DHS and the Community Service scholarship. For instance, what type of service and how much service the applicant has been involved with. Does the applicant need to have started or founded a clinic in Africa or something like that? Or can it be a student that generally has a passion for community service and has been very involved throughout high school in lots of service work (including an international summer service program). My daughter in president of her service club at school (a serious service club), is involved with several other organizations in our community and was in Ecuador this past summer. Just curious about some of the past award winners. Thanks!
