I just mailed my commitment card to Brown yesterday, but I was still a little apprehensive about choosing Brown over Carleton college (i know... they're soooo different) because Carleton is 1.5 hours from home... and Brown is well... 1400 miles away. I knew that Brown was a better fit for me, but I was afraid that if I didn't find that community feel, it would be amplified by the fact that I would be so far from home. It was a really tough decision. But after reading these posts, and hearing all these great things about the community at Brown, I now feel absolutely 100% thrilled with my decision!!! I couldn't be happier right now!

Brown really is the best of all worlds, now that I think about it: it's in the city, but Providence isn't huge and overwhelming... there are places like the main green where there is lots of hustle and bustle of students, and then there are places like the quiet green where people can lay around and study/nap, etc. Those are just a few examples of things that I noticed at ADOCH. My question for you current Brown students is... now that you've spent nearly a year or more at Brown, can you think of any other ways that Brown is the best of two worlds?

As of 3 days ago I was still unsure, but now I can't wait for Fall! So thank you, thank you, thank you...!!
