I am a high school senior and was thinking of taking my basic/core classes, such as biology or english during the summer at the local community college or the University of HOuston before proceeding onto the University of Texas in the fall. Do law schools frown upon taking CC classes to boost your GPA?

I don't think CC courses are factored into your GPA. It's a credit or no credit situation.

They are indeed factored into your GPA. Basically any class you take that helps along your undergrad (basically counts for college credit) counts towards your GPA.

Also I don't they frown on it. Several people (myself included) did two years at a CC and are planning on law school.

As far as your undergraduate institution is concerned, CC courses are not factored into your GPA. However, LSAC doesn't distinguish between CC courses and your undergrad's courses. All college courses taken before your bachelor's degree are counted toward your LSAC GPA.

for lsac purposes CC grades count. Simple as that. If you got a B in CC LSAC will find out about it.
