Community College Credit

Right now, I'm finishing up my Senior year of High School, but I've taken several courses at my local community college. I was wondering if my grades in these courses will be reflected in my GPA at Berkley? Thanks!

No, only the credits will transfer, the grades will not. The grades will not show up on your UC transcript at all. HOWEVER, whenever you apply to grad school, they will want a copy of your CC transcript.

I was told by Barbara Hightower who works at the EECS Berkeley: "The 5th year Masters is open to all students in EECS and CS. Your community college grades will not be factored into the decision."

I don't know if that applies to other majors in Cal.

I mean, let's say you want to apply to another school for grad school, you will need to submit your your CC transcript as well as your UC transcript. You can't bury those grades, ever, as far as I know.

:P
Not trying to bury them. They can only help. =)
