Community college credits/gpa --> UC

ok so im getting mixed messages from people i talk to.

Basically I have taken some community college classes (for GEs), and I am planning on transferring these credits to ucsd. I am also thinking about going to grad school (med school maybe?). So my question is…will all the classes at the CC i have taken add to my gpa at ucsd or will it only show that i completed the credits. When i apply to grad school, will they see my CC classes and add that gpa to my ucsd gpa?

Also, I am taking Calculus at the CC (currently in 3r qtr calc), after this year I will be done with the calc GE for ucsd (revelle)…but a site says med school likes u to have 3 quarters of math even if u have done AP test to pass out of math. I am not taking AP calc exam since the CC will allow me to pass out of it. so do i still need to take 3 qtrs of math at ucsd?

i am totally confused…help me out

If the course you have taken is transferrable to UCSD, then you don't have to take the class at UCSD. The GPA you earned for that course does not transfer over to UCSD. You're just exempt from taking that class.

Undergraduate UCSD admission is based on CC transferable classes.

Graduate Med School is based on all classes.

1 semester of a 2 semester series at a community college is = 1qtr at UCSD

2 semesters of a 2 semester series at a community college is = 3qtr at UCSD

generally, it's not a wise decision to not finish a series
