If I took classes at my local community college this summer (like non major courses just like history requirements or something) woudl they transfer to Penn for my freshman year? Thanks (I would prefer answers from people who are actually at Penn now, and not just people guessing like I do when I respond to a lot of posts =P)

i've taken a couple of courses during my senior year in high school at la salle university. penn only counted 2 of 4 courses and they treat it like an ap so it counts as credit but does not affect your gpa. im not sure why they did not count the other 2.

Ok thanks.

call the transfer credit office...cause i was told i have to do that too. to transfer penn credits to...um..penn credits.

I know for math, the courses in the summer don't count.

History might be different though.

take the math placement test if you want to get credit for math.
