Community college internships

I know that many companies have internship programs for undergraduates, would being at a community college dramatically effect your application for them? For example, lets say someone with a 4.0 w/ a relevant major and A LOT of prior work experience applied to an internship with google or mictosoft would there application even be looked at if it was from a CCC? Even if they can prove that it was for financial reasons?

There’s a girl in one of my CC classes that is interning for NVidia, so I suppose CCers have the same starting chance as traditional 4-year students to land 'em.

I think it would be dishonest for me to say that it has no effect. It matters. Many employers do like to see people from universities.
But your skills/work experience/interview performance matter more.

Yeah, ive already done an internship with UCSD biomedical department, and have one lined up with NASA Ames… So hopefully thats enough for two years to not put me at a significant disadvantage. Ill most likely be transfering to uc Berkeley or UCLA… So hopefully ill be employable.
