So I'm currently a Sophomore taking summer classes at my local community college. I understand that when I transfer the class to UCLA I will only get units, but it won't be included in my GPA. However, will the community college class be factored in when I apply to grad schools/med schools?

yes, it will be factored into your gpa when you apply to med school. it is frowned upon, however, to take med schools reqs at a CC if thats what you are doing.

Med schools also frown upon summer school if you are doing it to take a lighter load throughout the year, i.e., 12 units per quarter + summer school vs. 15 units per quarter. In other words, med schools want to see A’s in the premed courses while taking a full load.

What about for business graduate schools? Do they care about CC classes?
