Unfortunately, I didnot get into UMCP the college I want to go to. But I got into UMBC. Should I go to a local community college for the first one or two years then transfer to UMCP or go to UMBC for the first one or two years? UMBC is a lot expensive, But I am afraid that if I don't get accepted by UMCP when I transfer, my life would be screwed.
UMCP and Prince George's Community College have a program that guaranteed your transfer to UMCP after you complete the 30 credits and other requirements. I don't know whether I'll get into the program after I go to the Community College. Should I take the chance?
How hard is it to get a 4.0 in community college?

If UMBC is too expensive go to the guaranteed transfer program.

But I’m not sure whether will I get into the guaranteed transfer program.

Make an appointment with the transfer counselor at PGCC and ask about the guaranteed transfer program. While you are there, find out more about where students go after completing a full associates degree. You might have more options than just UM-CP or UM-BC.

Wishing you all the best!
