Community College Physics for a High School Student

Hello, I am currently a sophomore at a public high school. Because of scheduling conflicts, I can only take one science class per year without taking summer school. Next year, I would like to take AP Chem, while as a senior, i would like to take AP Physics C. I have taken honors Bio and honors Chem the past two years. However, going into AP Physics C I would have no prior physics experience other than middle school. Due to this fact, I was wondering if taking non-calculus based physics at my community college that would cover the topics of mechanics, wave motion, thermodynamics, electromagnetism etc. would prepare me for AP Physics C the same way an honors physics course at my high school would.
