Community College; please help!

I'm guessing community college isn't exactly the place for a pre-med major, but my family doesn't have the money to send me to a 4 year school for all 4 years. If i take my first 2 years or even first year of school at a community college, will it destroy my chances at med school? I would want to transfer into the University of Connecticut, my state school (less money, again), majoring in physiology/neuroscience with a minor in chemistry and mcb. It wouldn't be hard to transfer, and my degree would be from the University of Connecticut, but would the fact that i took some core pre-med requirements such as chem 1 and 2, bio 1 and 2, and calc 1 and 2 at community colleges look bad? Or would med schools understand the fact that not everyone has the money to go to top-noch schools all four years?

please help!

Supposedly, it doesn’t hurt students to start at a CC.

If you take some pre-reqs at the CC, it might be a good idea to take the next levels of those classes at the 4 year to show the strength of your CC education.

What is your major?

Another alternative…

Are you a high school senior? Have you considered applying to schools that give financial aid or merit scholarships?

Can you clarify?

Another thread indicates that you’re currently AT a university…not a CC. What’s up?
