With all the prestigious programs out there, will attending the summer prgram at the community college near my house for 6 credits this summer hurt or help? I didn't want to go far and everything else was much too expensive for our budget, but when I found out about the program, I didn't know about all of the other amazing ones out there that I can't go to. When I'm applying to more prestigious colleges, are they going to look at my application and think, "community college? um...no"?
Yeah that probably sounds stupid, but I need to be sure it's a good idea.

there are actually very few "prestigious" summer programs out there. most of them accept just about any average student that can pay and doesn't have behavioral problems.

the community college program is an excellent choice -- top schools understand that money and opportunities are limited for the majority of students. They are looking for students that do something "extra" and the CC classes are perfect for that.
