I am taking classes at a CC for UC/CSU credits… 15-25 credits by junior year… i didnt take many Honors/AP courses durring my sophmore year just solid courses + honors english… do you thinkg they colleges would look at the CC classes as honors level?

<p>I think you get the AP status if it is conducted by some means through your school and someting that most people can't get into. </p>
<p>Taking classes at a community college isn't exactly done through advanced placement other than the permission of the counselor or school (I believe most CC's require some sort of permission without a diploma) which even the most average students can usually get during summer and maybe during the school year, therefore it isn't advance placement in my judgment.</p>

<p>ucla says on its admission page it looks for among other things "A progressively challenging academic program, including the number of and performance in honors, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and college courses; mastery of academic subjects as demonstrated by high grades and exam results; and presence of summer session/inter-session courses which enhance academic progress."</p>

In response to Trixee, of course you should take college courses that apply towards your degree :), good safeties are anything in the liberal arts that transfer and see if the college/uni your interested in has an articulation agreement with the community college, meaning the course is treated as an equivalent.</p>
