I am going to a community college for a year to save money then I am transferring next fall. I know i want to be a business major, but are you suppose to wait till you get to the university to take specific courses that link to your major

here is what i think my schedule is going to be...

Freshman English
Psychology
College Algebra
British Literature
Western Civiliization

Total of fifteen credits (3 each)

I dont want to take specific courses in business until next year is that the smart way to go? Can you take any class you want and then they will transfer over to your university? Also could i drop the freshman english and take another elective because i am taking a literature course as well.

Basically i'm asking when applying as a transfer if i were to get good marks in all of these classes or do they just see my intended major and not care how i did in the other classes?

What this schedule be too specific to transfer next year into a major?

British Literature
Western Civilization
Psychology

and then should i take all three of these or just pick two out of these :
Intro to business
College Algebra
Financial accounting

Where do you want to transfer? Some colleges have prerequisites for transfers. It depends on “institutional policy” which credits transfer. Thus, I would find out now the transfer credit policy/ requirements for business majors at the schools you want to transfer to.

At many schools literature and freshmen composition are not equivalent.

I would enroll in 6 classes and drop the worst one by the add/ drop deadline.

okay so im gonna take these 6 classes

Psychology
British Literature
Western Civiliaztion
Intro To Business
Macroeconomics
Pulic Relations

is that a good schedule if im trying to go to a top tier school i would apply as a business major. i dont care if all my credits are transferred over and i have to repeat i just want to know if colleges think that will be a rigorous schedule or not and accept me thanks.

i will get close to a 4.0 and if that is the case will i have good options for next fall

Colleges might also want your high school transcript.
