Hi everyone right now I'm attending a communtiy college in Southern California. The top three schools I want to transfer to are Cal Poly SLO, San Jose State University, and San Francisco State University. Also considering Cal State Fullerton and Cal Poly Pomona. My overall GPA is a 2.95 but i still have a couple of semesters left so I am sure it will improve before I can apply. Also I am getting an Associates for Business Administration for Transfer (AS-T). Do i have a good chance getting into these schools?

probably a good idea to talk with the xfer advisers at your CC who should be familiar with the stats of recent grads from your school.

I’ve known a few business transfer students to get into Cal Poly Pomona with 2.7-3.4 GPA. I also overheard a counselor say Fullerton is so impacted, right now they won’t really consider an applicant that is out of their local service area with anything below a GPA of 3.3. A few people I know that were accepted into Fullerton had over a 3.6 GPA. Although the AS-T should help by giving you a guaranteed admission into the Cal State System, impacted campuses and impacted majors are selective! Keep in touch with your Transfer advisers. Try your best to earn a higher GPA. A helpful tool to use is : http://www.coastal.edu/registrar/cumgpacalc.html

Good luck with everything!

Thank you very much! How about San Jose State and San Francisco State? Im sure my GPA will improve after this semester I want to at least bring it up to a 3.3 or better
