<p>Any one else a hopeful community college student attempting to transfer into Peace and Conflict Studies at Berkeley or a current student/alumni in this major? It is so difficult to find others interested in this major, so I thought it would be helpful to start this thread for stats/questions/etc.</p>
<p>PACS major right here! I haven’t met anyone else interested in the major either, so I’m glad I stumbled upon this. What community college are you looking to transfer from?</p>

<p>I wanted to attend Berkeley because of this major, but I knew I wasn’t going to get in so, I didn’t even bother. </p>
<p>This is an amazing major, I can tell you that much. I think it’s like a specialized version of international relations. You’ll be able to delve into sectors that otherwise wouldn’t have been open to you. </p>

<p>Was it because you didn’t fulfill the prerequisites? I think only completing the foreign language requirement can be time consuming.</p>

<p>With the foreign language requirement, they want you to complete as many semesters as possible before transferring, but I only have three. I figure most people don’t have the full 4 semesters done before transfer. Ain’t nobody got time for that. </p>

<p>Although this is the first I’ve heard of it, Peace and Conflict Studies is a pretty awesome choice of majors if I don’t say so myself. Totally up my alley.</p>
