<p>I applied transfer to Harvard this year, and they said that they had 1500 applications for 12 transfer spots in the sophomore and junior classes (I was not one of the 12). I’m not sure what Stanford’s rate is, but I imagine it’s around 2-4%.</p>
<p>Not trying to discourage your friend (by the way what was his CC GPA?), definitely worth applying in my opinion, seems like a good candidate, but make sure to have some safeties.</p>
