what’s the chances of someone doing really good in community college, like 4.0 in honors program, to transfer into top privates? is this even possible? or are there too many other requirements at top privates that this person would be very behind when when/if they transfer?

your from cali you can easily transfer into UC Berkeley or UCLA with a 4.0 from a California Community College, the only CC friendly Top private i can think of is Cornell, but i would reccoment transfering to a UC school cause all your units will transfer over which is not the case at most top private schools.

yea thats what i was wondering, i know california CC's are really good at transferring to UC's, but i was wondering how good it is to transfer into top privates

Stanford accepts a lot of CC transfers--but don't expect to have a lot of your units transferred.

I have heard of people from california CC's transfering to Yale, Princeton, Stanford and of course, the UC's. It's not easy but it's a great opportunity.
