Community college to Wharton

<p>I was wondeirng what will wharton be looking for when transfering from community college.

Currently: Freshman</p>

Mth 163 (precalc) A</p>

Work as network admin intern at a firm
Invest in stock market
Play Basketball competativley
Coach childrens Basketball in winter</p>

<p>Are you NVCC? Did you mean ENG 111/112?</p>

<p>Anyways, I can tell you right now that your math is weak. If you're NVCC you need to be taking 271+ calc and 241+ stat courses. Also, keep in mind that Penn has little to no room for 3rd year transfers. I tell you this because you'll be transfering in as a junior. Why? Because your highschool record is so abysmal that you'll need to get your Associate's in order to lessen the impact of your past history.</p>

<p>Have you looked at UVA (Mcintire)? Top notch undergrad business program. Ranked anywhere from #7-#2 if I recall correctly. But don't think it's a cakewalk. You'll need a 3.7-3.8 GPA and strong math, 271/241+, in order to make it.</p>

<p>BTW, I don't mean to bag on your HS experience...hell, I'm a drop-out myself. Just wanted to give you a realistic outlook.</p>
