My daughter took three college math courses at a community college. Should she send the cc transcript to the applying university? The university's FQA says that the applicant should send the college transcript. She got one B on one of the college courses. How much it will affect her early admission? She has strong grades in her high school.

She should send it. Two ways to look at it. First, taking a communitiy college class for credit many times will "advance place" a student in a higher level for that same subject matter. That will save money and time. However, many times the student may be better off essentially "retaking" the course at the college they apply and are accepted at. Why? Once reason is the work load may be difficult for a new college student taking advance courses....especially the first year. Either way, admissions and guidance people will help a student make the right choice during the course choosing process.

Second, and more important, taking other courses (beyond high school) shows an ability to push and involve oneself. Colleges look highly at students that take difficult courses.

also, i dont think that she has a choice. arent you required to send a transcript from every school that you have attended?

YES you are required.

I'll advise her to send it. Thank your for the comments.

Im applying to the UC system.
When is the community college transcripts sent?
I am enrolled in two classes in the community colleges right now and would like to know when I have to send my transcript. The semester ends in December so how would the universities be able to see my grades?

Send it after you get your grades.
