<p>Son's friend just rejected from transfer into Cal for next fall for engineering. Friend says all the engineering transfer students accepted were from outside calif and US? Anyone know where to look this up?

<p>That sounds like a doubtful claim. In 2011, 77% of new transfer students were California residents (versus 65% of new frosh students). While 2013 information does not appear to be available yet, it is unlikely that there are no California resident new transfer students on the campus or in any large division like engineering.</p>
