Greetings fellow motivated students,

In about a year, I am planning to transfer/apply to Universities from my community college. One of the Universities on my list is Stanford, can anyone please give me some advice? What should I do to be a good transfer candidate? After all, Stanford only accepts about 30-40 transfer students, or so I read on their site. I really need some motivation/advice/help!

Please, anything you write is worth reading.

I read a number of articles about transfer students in the student newspaper the last few years. What stood out to me was that these transfer students were really unique individuals. It seemed like it wasn’t about the grades and test scores at all. It was much more about bringing a different perspective to the student population.

That is just a random observation. I am really not qualified to give you advice about what to do on your application. Good luck. You already know there are tough odds to overcome.

Thank you very much for your reply, I greatly appreciate it.
