Community College Transfer

Hey everyone. Just looking for some information and possible some advice on an important decision I am making.

I am currently a first year student at Illinois Wesleyan University. During my time here I found that this was not the right college for myself for a few reasons:
-The price was far too high even after FAFSA
-The small college setting isn't as beneficial as I once thought.
-The administration here is not as flexible as they claimed about course selection and major changes.
-It is NOT a true Liberal Arts college which is very disappointing.
-The academic reputation of this school for my major type (Humanities) is not as well known as they had me believe.

I would like to transfer to a larger state school in order to save some money and hopefully have a better college experience. The problem is that IWU utilizes a credit system for their courses which most other colleges don't accept in order to deter people from transferring.

Because of this I plan to attend my local community college (Moraine Valley, Illinois) to fulfill gen ed requirements. I then plan to transfer to the University of Illinois or other state school.

My question is what are the chances of an Illinois State school such as the University of Illinois to accept a CC transfer? More specifically what would my stats need to look like in order to be accepted as a transfer?

Sorry if I left out important information. Ask and I will edit.

Thank you for your time

I could be wrong but most public school actually prefer cc transfer over another 4-year transfer. I don’t know about the gpa requirement sorry i wish i could help more

You have an extremely good (practically guaranteed) chance to transfer provided you keep an adequate GPA.
