Community Service on the application

I've decided to get a head start in making college applications so today I started filling out the common application. I'm working on listing extra-curriculars and wonderering how to do community service. Should I just put community service and then put how many hours I've done, or should I break up each project and list seperately how many hours I've volunteered at the hospital, library, united way, building houses, etc. Or maybe should I list the bigger projects seperately and then clump the smaller stuff together?

Last year I put all of my community service in one entry, but put my specific activities in the additional info section

but there isn't very much room in that box. you can only fit about 4 words in there.

I'd put Community Service in the box. Then in the additional information box (on the next page) you can go into more detail of what you did exactly

ok, that makes sense now. thanks, i think i can work it out.
