Community Service

I really enjoy doing community service, and I plan to continue being involved at Bama. I would love to do AA, but I can’t afford it. Do all of the community service projects cost money? If so, I don’t think I will be able to volunteer through the school.

Check out this: [Student Affairs | Community Service Center](http://volunteer.ua.edu/programs.cfm). These are programs for the current school year. I am sure that next year similar opportunities will be available. You can contact the UA Volunteer Office to inquire about what’s available.
If you wanted to do something on campus and free then you could always volunteer at the RISE program in the Stallings Center.

There is also a class SPE-100 that satisfies a Behavioral Science Core which has an emphasis on community Service. Class only meets once a week and you have to put in a set amount of hours doing a community service project.

Thanks for the contact information, ahpimommy.

RTOTA14, that sounds like the perfect program for me. Thank you for pointing that out to me.
