Community Service?

As you may or may not know from some of my other posts, I’m a Junior in HS uber-interested in BC right now.

So during Junior Guidance Seminar today, we were filling out a packet and the counselor told us that under “Community Service” we were NOT to fill out anything that we were required to do. Such as through a club.

I joined Leo Club this year basically for the sole purpose of having community service for college (and I do enjoy it). So will all the hours not count?

My community service thus far consists of:
-Pep band @ every home football game
-About 10 hours thus far with various Leo Club services
-Participated in the MLK Jr. Day of Giving Back with Youth Commission Club (volunteered for a few hours at a senior center)

So what will count as community service? Am I on the right track for BC [community service wise… I know that GPAs and SATs do also come into account  ]? What more can I do?

And I am also a peer tutor… I don’t know if that counts or anything.

Thanks!

i think they would all count except pep band, i dont know what youre school is talking about

I hope so. I need to found out about Pep Band, because I remember when I was a freshman, our conductor had said "If any of you seniors need community service hours, I'll sign off your pep band hours."
I really hope it all counts.
How much does BC look for? Might it be problematic that the service is rather diverse and not very focused in one area?
